I believe that Alabama is ready for positive change.  I am the only candidate in this race who is promising something different.  I have spent the better part of my life standing for equality and social justice.  I fought for human rights in Alabama , and I will fight for justice in Washington.  I have the background and qualifications to do a good job.

Please vote Democratic on June 3, and vote for the REAL Democrat -- Cheryl Sabel.  I have pledged to always stand to uphold the protections of our Constitution.  And I have promised to hold quarterly townhall meetings in every one of my 16-counties to be accountable to the people who put me in office.  I will report to you what is happening in Congress, and seek your input regarding the needs of District 2.

Cheryl Makes Strong Debut at First Candidates Debate

Cheryl distinguished herself from the other candidates at the AARP/WSFA Candidate Forum Friday night, by speaking to the issues important to the people of Alabama and highlighting traditional Democratic values. She added, "I am the real Democrat running for the District 2 seat."

Cheryl has endorsed "A Responsible Plan to End the War in Iraq ",  which was authored by retired military generals and others.  She is the only candidate in Alabama to endorse this plan.
